Vivo S60 Series With 6.59″ 144Hz AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Dimensity 7500 Launched in China

Vivo has officially launched two new smartphones in its home market China under its Vivo S60 series, comprising the Vivo S60 and Vivo S60 Vitality Edition models. Among these two newly-launched devices, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition is the first smartphone to launch with the Dimensity 7500 Full-Power Version processor, which was released recently.

Vivo S60 Series – Specs and Features

Starting with the Vivo S60, the latest smartphone has now been introduced with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the Vitality Edition with Dimensity 7500 – Which is the first smartphone to launch with it.

Both the Vivo S60 and Vivo S60 Vitality Edition feature a 6.59″ AMOLED display with 2750 x 1260 pixels resolution, 19.64:9 aspect ratio, 94.7% screen-to-body ratio, P3 wide colour gamut, HDR support, 8000000:1 contrast ratio, and up to 144Hz refresh rate. They also come with 3D ultrasonic single-point fingerprint recognition, a 7200mAh battery, 90W Flash Charge support, IP69 + IP68 dust and water resistance, and OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Wireless charging is not supported on the two devices, but OTG reverse charging support has been given.

Speaking about the Vivo S60, it carries a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a Sony 50MP main camera (f/1.75 aperture, gimbal-level anti-shake main camera with 3° OIS optical image stabilisation), an 8MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture), and a Sony 50MP periscope telephoto camera (f/2.65 aperture, OIS, professional-level anti-shake). For selfies, a 50MP front-facing camera ( f/2.0 aperture, Auto Focus) is also given. The smartphone is also claimed to offer 4K native-feel Live, dynamic beauty algorithm, photo-video integrated architecture. Inspiration Fun Shooting Live, 4K Starlight Live, Cool White Portrait Live, and Live Colour Palette will also be offered via OTA.

Regarding the cameras of the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, the device comes with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Sony large-sensor main camera (soft light, f/1.88 aperture, OIS, and EIS). On the front, a 50MP selfie camera (f/2.0 aperture, AF). Speaking more, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition is also said to offer 4K native-feel Live, photo-video integrated architecture, 3D spatial video, Inspiration Fun Shooting Live, Cool White Portrait Live, and Live Colour Palette via OTA, however, some of these features will only be supported on versions with 12GB RAM and above.

Other key specs of the Vivo S60 include 5G/4G/3G/2G network support, dual nano SIM card slots, WiFi 6, 2 x 2 MIMO, MU-MIMO, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Type-C USB port, Type-C digital signal headphone jack, OTG data transmission, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, AGPS, cellular positioning, and wireless LAN positioning. It also has stereo dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, infrared remote control, gravity sensor, photosensitive sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and electronic compass.

Other notable features of the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition include 5G/4G network support, dual nano SIM, WiFi 6, WiFi Display, 2 x 2 MIMO, MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Type-C USB 2.0 port, Type-C digital headphone support, OTG, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, AGPS, cellular network positioning, wireless LAN positioning, X-axis linear motor, infrared remote control, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, fingerprint sensor, and cloud services support.

Both devices feature a natural clear-textured design, while integrated floating-light cold-carved glass, Starlight engraving process, Flowing-light glass process, aerospace aluminium metal frame, and a slim and light body are also part of their key design aspects. Both handsets measure 157.52 mm in length and 74.33mm in width, while their thickness is upto 7.92mm and weighs upto 205g.

Pricing and Availability

About the pricing and availability details, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition has been priced at CNY 2899 for the 8GB/256GB storage option, CNY 3199 for the 12GB/256GB variant, and CNY 3499 for the 12GB/512GB model. The Vivo S60 is priced at CNY 3599 for the 12GB/256GB storage option, CNY 3999 for the 12GB/512GB variant, and CNY 4399 for the 16GB/512GB model. Both smartphones’ open sales date is set for June 3rd in China, and the Vivo S60 series is offered in Midsummer Night, Early Summer Green, and Starry Sea colour choices.
