The Upcoming Google Pixel 7A to Feature a Face Unlock Feature: Here’s What We Know

Alleged images of the upcoming Google Pixel 7A smartphone indicate that the device apart from the fingerprint sensor will also feature a face unlock feature as well.

Google Pixel 7A to Support Face Unlock

Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Google Pixel 7A is expected to support a face-unlock feature and will be the most affordable smartphone from the brand to support this feature. Snoopy Tech, a well-known tipster has just shared this info on the Twitter platform along with an alleged Pixel 7A smartphone’s settings menu with the face and fingerprint unlock options.

The Pixel 6A came with an upgrade from the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which the previous models had, to an under-display, optical fingerprint sensor, and the same fingerprint sensor can be expected in the Pixel 7a smartphone as well.

From what is now known, the Pixel 7A smartphone will be unveiled at Google’s I/O developer conference scheduled to take place on the 10th of May and will be available in the market immediately with a starting price of $499. The upcoming Google Pixel 7a smartphone is expected to come equipped with the brand’s own Tensor G2(5nm) chipset with a primary clock speed of 2.85GHz and will run on the Android 13-based operating system. The device is also expected to have the Mali-G710 MP7 GPU.

Regarding its display, the Google Pixel 7A is also expected to feature a 6.1″ OLED display panel with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

For its cameras, the device at its rear is expected to have a 64MP + 12MP dual camera setup along with an 8MP camera at its front.

The Pixel 7A smartphone is also expected to be backed by a 4500 mAh battery which will support an 18W wired fast charge feature and a 5W wireless fast charging feature.
