As per the new details shared online by the brand, the launch date for the Indian market of Tecno’s upcoming Pova 8 handset has now been confirmed. Along with the launch date, the handset’s design has also been revealed.

Tecno Pova 8 – India Launch Date and Design Revealed
In a post on X shared by Tecno India, the launch of this new handset has been confirmed for the 11th of June at 12 PM. Alongside this, the brand has also teased the design of the upcoming device, and it appears to feature a similar camera deco as that of the previous Tecno Pova 7. However, this time, Tecno is giving a matrix-like dotted display within the camera deco.
Moreover, a Silver White and a Military Green colour variant can also be seen in today’s teaser video. Another detail highlighted is the engraving on the rear panel, which confirms that the device will be backed by an 8000mAh battery.
Currently, this new device has not appeared on any of the major e-commerce sites yet, so it cannot be said for sure where it will be launched. However, its predecessor was launched via Flipkart, so the same may happen this time as well, but it is best to wait for the official information to arrive.
Expected Specs
While this much has been shared online by the brand, our earlier stories about this handset have also revealed a lot about it. Via the Geekbench database, it was revealed that the device may come powered by the Dimensity 7100 SoC, and it was also listed with Android 16 OS and 6GB RAM.
The FCC certification had also revealed that the smartphone will be backed by a rechargeable Li-ion polymer battery with the model number “BL-77AT”, and it will be having a typical capacity of 8000mAh, along with a rated capacity of 7750mAh and 45W wired fast charging support.
Speaking more, the FCC database had also mentioned that the device was running on the “LK6-16.2.0” OS version, which further confirms that it will come with the Android 16 operating system. Connectivity-wise, it will support GSM, WCDMA, 3G, 4G, and 5G connectivity, along with Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi 5G, and GPS (L1). To note, the NFC support could be region-specific.
Also, the product FCC label revealed 8GB/256GB as one of the memory variants, along with the rear design of the device. Moreover, the Carlcare service website for the India region has also confirmed 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB as memory options for the device in the Indian market.
As the launch date has now been officially confirmed, more details regarding its availability platform, pricing, and sale details can be expected to be announced soon.
