TECNO POVA 7 Ultra 5G Launched with Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, 6000mAh Battery, 70W Wired and 30W Wireless Charging

TECNO has officially announced its new POVA 7 Series, introducing five smartphones aimed at gaming enthusiasts and performance seekers. The series includes the POVA 7 Ultra 5G, POVA 7 Pro 5G, POVA 7 5G, POVA Curve 5G, and POVA 7 4G. Among them, the POVA 7 Ultra 5G leads the lineup with features like a 6000mAh battery, 70W wired Ultra Charge, and newly introduced 30W Wireless Fast Charging, a first for the POVA series.
Specs and Features
All three 5G models, POVA 7 Ultra 5G, POVA 7 Pro 5G, and POVA 7 5G, support 30W wireless fast charging, positioning them as strong contenders in their segment. The devices follow a unified design approach TECNO describes as “Interstellar Spaceship Design,” marked by bold lines, a minimalist form, and a distinctive triangular geometry emblem. The POVA Curve 5G stands out as the brand’s first curved display phone, offering edge-to-edge visuals paired with performance hardware.
The top-end POVA 7 Ultra 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate AI Processor and features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4500 nits. TECNO claims the device can handle high-intensity gaming, supporting 120FPS performance in titles like PUBG. The phone also includes a 12-layer cooling system and a 5,300mm² vapour chamber to manage thermals.
For users needing extended use or emergency connectivity, the POVA 7 Ultra 5G offers a 6000mAh battery with support for 70W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, 10W reverse charge, and a new FreeLink feature. FreeLink enables device-to-device communication within a 1km range without requiring mobile network access, useful in remote or emergency scenarios.
On the software front, TECNO debuts HiOS 15 for the POVA 7 Series. The update brings system-wide customisation options including themes, icons, fonts, and wallpapers, along with a cleaner user experience free of bloatware. A new Mini-LED Status Light provides visual alerts for notifications, calls, and gameplay.
The POVA 7 Series also incorporates AI deeply across the system. The “AI Anywhere Portal” acts as a central hub for smart features, including:
- Ask Ella, an assistant for scheduling, summarising, or answering visual queries
- AI Call Assistant, with translation, noise cancellation, auto answer, and summaries
- AI Writing Tools, for proofreading and generating text
- Circle to Search, for identifying objects in images
- AI Studio, for retouching or editing photos using AIGC Portrait 2.0 and other tools
TECNO has also introduced matching accessories including a custom power bank, wireless magnetic card, and protective cases designed to extend the product’s functionality and design consistency.
The POVA 7 Series is rolling out globally starting June 2025, with availability and pricing to be announced regionally. The POVA Curve 5G has already made its debut in India, while the remaining models will be launched in markets including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, and Latin America.
