Sony Xperia 1 VII Officially Launched, Collaborating With Alpha, Walkman, and Bravia Designers
The Japanese tech maker – Sony has finally unveiled its latest and next generation Xperia 1 VII smartphone. Designers from Alpha, Walkman, and Bravia has worked together in the phone’s development – assuring enhanced camera, audio, and display qualities.

Sony Xperia 1 VII – Officially Launched
The Sony Xperia 1 VII flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and is integrated with the Adreno 830 GPU. It is also coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. On the software side, the brand promises 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patch updates.
About its display, a 6.5″ OLED LTPO display is featured with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display also supports FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
At its rear, Sony’s Xperia 1 VII sports a 48MP (main, 1/1.35″, Exmor T, OIS) + 48MP (ultra-wide, 1/1.56″, Exmor RS) + 12MP (telephoto, 1/3.5″, Exmor RS, 3.5x – 7.1x continuous optical zoom) triple camera system. For selfies, there is a 12MP front-facing camera (1/2.9″. Exmor RS).
Regarding the battery, the device packs a 5000 mAh battery backup. Ensuring a faster and convenient charging experience, a 30W wired fast charging feature, 15W Qi wireless charging feature, and reverse wireless charging feature are supported on the smartphone.
Other key notable specs are 2G/3G/4G/5G network, eSIM, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, LE audio auracast, NFC, USB 3.2 port (5Gbps, Type-C), side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dedicated shutter button, microSD card support (up to 2TB expandable storage), dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless Audio, LDAC, Snapdragon Sound, 360 Reality Sound, Dolby Audio, DSEE Ultimate, aluminium frame, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus-protected rear panel, 8.2mm thickness, and 197gm weight. Speaking of its pricing and availability details, it carries price tags of EUR 1499 and GBP 1399 respectively in Europe and in the United Kingdom. Two storage models are available – 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, and customers can get it in three colors of Slate Black, Moss Green, and Orchid Purple.
