Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Powered Vivo Y6t 5G Announced in China with 6500mAh Battery and More

Another Y series smartphone has now been introduced by Vivo in its home market China, called the Vivo Y6t 5G, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor that was launched back in 2023.

Vivo Y6t 5G (V2559A) – Specs and Features

Starting off with the display, the smartphone features a 6.74″ LCD HD+ flat display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness in HBM mode. Additionally, it comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, and has a paper-like display that supports features such as true DC dimming, flicker-free experience, dark mode, and other eye protection capabilities.

Speaking about the design, composite board material has been used for the rear panel, while the middle frame is made of plastic. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 167.40mm × 77.10mm × 8.39mm and weighs around 209g.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM, along with an additional 8GB virtual RAM support, which Vivo refers to as Memory Fusion. It also offers up to 128GB of internal storage based on UFS 3.1. On the software side, the device runs on OriginOS 6 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system.

On the camera side, the device features a basic setup, with a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera. Speaking more about the camera features, the front camera supports up to 2x zoom, while the rear camera offers up to 10x zoom capability. Additionally, autofocus support is available on both the front and rear cameras.

Battery-wise, the smartphone packs a 6500mAh battery with a rated capacity of 6355mAh, and it supports 15W wired fast charging.

For connectivity, the device supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity, along with dual nano SIM support. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.1 with multiple codec support (SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LDAC), a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and OTG support. For added protection, the device has received IP65 certification for dust and water resistance, along with SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance certification, which confirms durability under multiple drop test conditions.

Other key features include a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, Face Wake facial recognition, a single speaker setup, and infrared remote control support, which Vivo claims works with over 3000 brands in China.

Pricing and Availability

Talking about the pricing and availability, the smartphone has been introduced in three colour options – Twilight Black, Flowing Clouds White, and Sunset Blue. In terms of pricing, the 6GB/128GB variant is priced at CNY 1699, while the 8GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB variants are both priced at CNY 1899.

As of now, the device is available for pre-reservation via the Vivo China website, and customers can book it by paying the full amount. A pre-sale discount of CNY 400 is also being offered. The official sale is scheduled to begin on the 27th of April at 10 AM China time.
