Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Images of Dummy Units Leaked: Points to a Gap when Folded

Samsung has confirmed to conduct its 27th Unpacked Event this month, on the 26th of July and the brand is expected to launch many devices at the event. Recent teaser images shared by Samsung point that the next Galaxy device to be launched will be a foldable device and the brand has two foldable devices that are awaiting its launch.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is one among the foldable devices that are to be launched and now the images of its dummy units have been leaked.

Here’s more about it.

Galaxy Z Fold 5 Images of Dummy Units Leaked

A few months back, the 5K render images and the 360-degree video of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device were shared online and if we compare the images and the shared video with that of the dummy units that have been leaked, it is almost true that these dummy units are genuine and are of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 device’s.

The dummy images of the foldable reveal the triple camera setup arranged linearly within the pill-shaped camera module and the LED flashlight that is placed on the right of the camera module. Both its inner display and the cover display also feature a punch-hole front-facing camera as well.

Coming to the side panels, the bottom and top side panels have two speakers grilles along with the microphones. At the bottom, we can also find the USB type-C charging port as well. Towards the right side panel, the volume rocker and the power button cum fingerprint sensor can be spotted.

All the design aspects were however revealed with the previous renders and the 360-degree video. So what do the images of the dummy units reveal? The dummy units reveal two things, the first is the existence of a white color variant and the other is the gap that is there in between the inner display when it is folded. A crease can also be noticed on the inner display.

As these are the dummy units, we expect Samsung to refine the gap that is there on the device. The previous Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 devices both had this issue and Samsung should be really careful not to bring it to its final product(Galaxy Z Fold 5). To note, Honor recently unveiled the Magic V2 foldable device, and impressive enough, the device when folded does not have a notable gap in between the inner display screen.

To sum up, all the other updates regarding the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5, as mentioned above, the latest foldable is expected to be launched by the end of this month and has already been certified by many certification authorities. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has by now received the NBTC, FCC, 3C, and BIS Indian certifications. The device was also spotted on the Geekbench database confirming that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The One UI 5.1.1 test builds of the foldable were also spotted on Samsung’s servers.

With its launch that is expected to take place soon, we won’t have to wait much longer to confirm more about the foldable smartphone and its specifications. The BIS certification the device has received also confirms its launch in the Indian market as well and Samsung fans from India will also be able to get a hold of the latest device soon.
