Samsung Galaxy M47 5G India Launch Date Confirmed; Snapdragon Processor, 120Hz sAMOLED Display, 50MP OIS Camera and Under INR 20K Price Teased

The South Korean tech giant – Samsung had already confirmed the moniker of its next Galaxy M series smartphone for the Indian market – Galaxy M47 5G. Previously, not much regarding the device was revealed, however, with the Amazon India microsite now being updated, several key details including its launch date, major specifications, and features have now been confirmed.

Samsung Galaxy M47 5G – Launch Date and Key Specs Now Confirmed

The latest updated poster on Amazon India now confirms that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M47 5G smartphone will be breaking its cover in India on the 29th of June 2026. The device will be made available via Amazon India, Samsung India’s official website, and other major retail stores across the country. Along with this, the brand has also listed many of its key specifications and features ahead of the official launch.

Speaking more, the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G is confirmed to arrive with a Snapdragon processor. While the microsite only mentions a Snapdragon chipset, the earlier Geekbench listing had revealed that the device could be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. It will also be paired with fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, assuring users with better multitasking, smoother performance, and lag-free gaming.

For durability, Samsung is bringing Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the device, and it is also teased to come with water and dust resistance. The handset is claimed to offer 4X scratch resistance and up to 2.0m fall endurance as well, making it suitable for outdoor usage and rough handling. A long-lasting battery will also be packed inside the device, along with 45W fast charging support.

Furthermore, the Galaxy M47 5G will also support bypass charging, which is said to offer more power to the game while putting less strain on the battery. On the display side, the smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and users can expect a smooth, sharp, and vibrant viewing experience even on bright days.

Samsung is also assuring long-term software support with the device. The Galaxy M47 5G will receive 6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. It will likely come running on Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box, and will bring flagship-inspired features such as Now Bar, Live Notification, and home screen personalization.

Coming to its design, the device will be offered in two bold colour choices – Rogue Red and Blaze Blue. The brand is teasing it as a handset where style meets adventure, and the overall look of the device appears to be sleek with bold colours that are aimed to turn heads.

On the camera side, the Galaxy M47 5G will sport a 50MP OIS main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 12MP HDR front-facing camera. Full-clarity 4K video recording support will also be offered on both the front and rear cameras. In addition to this, AI editing tools such as Object Eraser, Edit Suggestion, and My Filter will also be made available on the device.

Other key features include Knox Security, Private Album, Malicious Web Access Alert, Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay, on-device voicemail, AI voice transcription, Quick Share, and Voice Focus. With these features, Samsung is focusing not only on performance and durability, but also on privacy, secure payments, calling, and everyday Galaxy ecosystem features.
