For some reason, after releasing the Galaxy M44 5G smartphone back in 2023 (as Galaxy Jump 4 in South Korea), Samsung seemingly stopped introducing new devices under the Galaxy M4x series. However, it now appears that the brand could be preparing to bring the series back, as a new Galaxy M4X-series smartphone prototype has made its appearance on the Geekbench database.

Samsung Galaxy M47 5G – Geekbench Database

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy smartphone prototype carrying the model number ‘SM-M476B’ has now been spotted on the Geekbench database. While the benchmark listing does not reveal the moniker of the device, previous appearances on test servers in regions such as India and Nepal had reportedly confirmed it to be the Galaxy M47 5G smartphone. This indicates that Samsung may have skipped the Galaxy M45 and Galaxy M46 monikers in between.

This Geekbench listing reveals that the device prototype achieved an OpenCL score of 2256 points, and was tested running on the Android 16 operating system with 4GB RAM. The listing further reveals an octa-core processor featuring four cores clocked at 2.40GHz and the remaining four cores clocked at 1.80GHz. Also, the presence of the Adreno 710 GPU points to the possibility that the device could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.

Since this is still an early benchmark listing, it is best to take the revealed information with a pinch of salt, and more details regarding the upcoming smartphone will likely be revealed in the coming days through additional certifications and leaks as well.

Stay tuned for more updates.
