Realme 16T 5G to Come With a Selfie Mirror at the Back, Launch Date and Other Key Details Also Revealed
Earlier, Realme had launched three devices in the Indian market under the Realme 16 series – Realme 16 5G, Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. Well, the launch of the fourth smartphone under this lineup has now officially been announced. Along with the launch date confirmation, several key specifications of the device have also been revealed.

Realme 16T 5G – Launch Date and Key Specs Confirmed
As per the details shared by the brand Realme, the Realme 16T 5G will break cover in the Indian market on 22nd May 2026 at 12 PM IST via Flipkart and the Realme India website. On the official microsite, it has been revealed that the smartphone will pack a massive 8000mAh Titan battery, which is claimed to offer around 2.5 hours of extra gaming, 4 hours of extra social media usage, and 6.4 hours of extra navigation when compared to a 7000mAh battery-powered smartphone.
Adding more to this, the device will also support bypass charging, reverse charging, and 45W fast wired charging support alongside 7 years of battery health. Even though the smartphone packs a large battery, it still maintains a thin profile with a thickness of just 8.88mm.
In terms of design, the rear side appears quite similar to the Realme 16 Pro 5G smartphone, with a similar camera deco design. However, instead of an LED flash module, the device features a selfie mirror unit. Furthermore, the microsite also confirms Starlight Red and Starlight Black colour options, alongside a third colour variant whose exact marketing name has not yet been officially revealed, though it appears to feature a bluish-green finish.
Looking into past leaks, tipster Abhishek Yadav had previously revealed that the smartphone could arrive in three memory variants, including 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. The same leak had also pointed towards three colour options of Starlight Red, Starlight Black, and Aurora Green for the Indian market. Additionally, the smartphone carrying the model number “RMX5268” had earlier appeared on the BIS certification platform, followed by the Malaysian SIRIM certification database as well.
Now, as the launch date has officially been announced, we expect Realme to reveal more details in the coming days.
