POVA 8 Pro Officially Launched in India at a Starting Price of INR 46,999 (Including Offers)

As confirmed earlier, the POVA 8 Pro 5G has now officially made its debut in the Indian market. While the smartphone has been launched today, interested buyers will have to wait for a few more days before getting their hands on it, as its first sale will begin on August 21st 2026.

The smartphone comes with a 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, a dedicated graphics chip, 50MP Sony primary camera, 6,500mAh battery and several AI features.

POVA 8 Pro 5G – Specifications and Features

Starting with the design, the POVA 8 Pro 5G comes with what the brand calls a Cyber Futuristic Design. The rear panel visually outlines elements such as the battery and heat path, giving the smartphone a rather different look.

The device measures 7.39mm in thickness and weighs 189 grams. It also comes with IP69K-rated dust and water resistance, along with SGS drop resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and the Omni-Shield Impact System.

Coming to the display, the smartphone features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate and higher instantaneous touch response.

Under the hood, the POVA 8 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor. Apart from this, the smartphone also gets a dedicated P1 Graphics Chip.

For cooling, the device comes with a 5K IceShield VC Cooling System featuring a large 5,000mm² vapour chamber.

Speaking of gaming, the smartphone also offers 4D Game Vibration along with an X-axis linear motor, which is aimed at providing more precise haptic feedback while gaming and during regular interactions.

Cameras

Coming to the camera department, the POVA 8 Pro 5G features a 50MP primary camera with the Sony LYTIA 700C sensor and OIS support. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

The camera system has also been co-engineered with Sony.

Apart from this, the smartphone comes with several AI-powered camera features under AI Studio. These include AI Flare Remover, AI Reflection Remover and AI Shadow Remover.

AI Assistant and Customisable Button

Another thing to note is the AI Assistant, which can summarise customer calls using AI and automatically create follow-ups and to-do items.

The smartphone also comes with a dedicated customisable shortcut button. Users can assign double-press and long-press actions to several features and applications.

These include Mute, Matrix MiniPlay, One-Tap FlashMemo, Camera, Do Not Disturb, Flashlight, Screen Recording, Sound Recording, Quick Note and Translate, among others.

Battery and Charging

Keeping the lights on is a 6,500mAh battery, which the brand claims can offer up to two days of battery life.

The smartphone supports 45W fast charging, with the company claiming that the battery can reach 50% in around 28 minutes. Reverse charging support is also present.

Another interesting thing is the Battery Self-Healing Technology. The brand also claims five-year battery health and more than 2,000 charging cycles.

The device is further claimed to work across temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C.

Apart from this, the smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos support.

Pricing and Availability

The POVA 8 Pro 5G has been launched in Arc White, Tundra Green and Graphite Black colour options.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at INR 49,999, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant carries a price tag of INR 54,999.

Speaking of its availability, the smartphone will go on sale in India starting August 21st 2026 at 12 PM IST. It will be available via Flipkart as well as authorised online and offline retail stores.

As part of the launch offer, the base variant will be available at an effective price of INR 46,999.

So while the POVA 8 Pro 5G has officially made its debut in India, buyers will have to wait until August 21st to purchase it.
