We recently covered the news regarding the POVA 8 Pro’s India launch date being announced, and at that time, it wasn’t known through which e-commerce platform the smartphone would be available in the country. Well, that has now been revealed, as its Flipkart microsite has gone live, confirming its availability via the platform and also revealing several of its key specifications and features.

POVA 8 Pro India Specs and Features Revealed
Starting with the design, the POVA 8 Pro will feature what the brand calls a Cyber Futuristic Design, with the rear panel visually highlighting elements such as the battery and heat-dissipation path. The smartphone measures just 7.39mm in thickness and weighs around 189 grams. It’s colour options were teased earlier and now the naming is also confirmed: Graphite Black, Tundra Green and Arc White, same as the global variant.
Another interesting addition is a dedicated customisable shortcut button. Users will be able to assign its long-press action to functions such as Mute, Camera, Flashlight, Recording and other supported apps or features. The shortcut button can also be used while gaming.
Coming to the display, the smartphone will feature a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate and high instantaneous touch response. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection is also present on the device.
Under the hood, the POVA 8 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset, paired with a dedicated P1 Graphics Chip aimed at improving the gaming experience. For cooling, the smartphone gets a 5K IceShield VC Cooling System with a large 5,000mm² vapour chamber.
Speaking more about gaming, the smartphone also features 4D Game Vibration with an X-axis linear motor, which is aimed at offering enhanced haptic feedback while gaming as well as during regular taps and notifications.
Alive Matrix Display
One of the major highlights of the POVA 8 Pro is the Alive Matrix Display present at the rear. It makes use of 177 independently controlled Mini LEDs and offers breathing light effects across more than 49 scenarios, including calls, messages, gaming and file transfers. The brand also says that the lighting effects are customisable.
Cameras
Speaking of its cameras, the smartphone will feature a 50MP primary camera with the Sony LYTIA 700C sensor and OIS support. The 1/1.56-inch sensor also makes use of pixel-level 2×2 OCL technology, which is claimed to improve autofocus, light gathering and image quality while reducing noise. It will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Several AI-powered camera features will also be offered, including AI Flare Remover, AI Reflection Remover, AI Shadow Remover, AI Auto Zoom and AI Doc Scanner. Other camera modes include Slow Motion and Motion Trail.
Battery and Charging
Another major highlight of the smartphone is its 6,500mAh battery, which the brand claims can deliver up to two days of usage. The device supports 45W fast charging, with the Flipkart microsite claiming that it can reach 50% charge in around 28 minutes. Reverse charging support is also present.
The battery also comes with Battery Self-Healing Technology, which is aimed at reducing battery degradation over time. The India microsite further claims five-year battery health and more than 2,000 charging cycles.
Durability
For durability, the POVA 8 Pro comes with an IP69K rating, meaning it is designed to withstand high-pressure water jets. It also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, SGS Drop Resistant certification and an Omni-Shield Impact System aimed at offering added protection against everyday drops and scratches. The global model additionally carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings.
AI Features
The smartphone will also come with an AI Assistant, which can summarise customer calls and automatically generate follow-ups and to-do items from conversations.
Apart from this, its AI Studio brings together features such as AI Flare Remover, AI Reflection Remover, AI Shadow Remover, AI Auto Zoom and AI Doc Scanner.
For audio, the smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos support, while the brand has also promised two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
As mentioned, the POVA 8 Pro is all set to officially break cover in India on August 18th 2026, and its Flipkart microsite going live now confirms that the smartphone will be available through the e-commerce platform following its launch.
With the launch now just a few days away, details regarding its memory variants, India pricing and sale date are also expected to be revealed soon.
