OPPO Reno 16 Series Launched in China Alongside OPPO Bubble: Check Features, Pricing, and Availability

As covered in our previous article about the launch of the OPPO Pad 6, the Chinese smartphone maker – OPPO has also launched its latest Reno 16 series smartphones in China. Along with the two new Reno 16 series models, the brand has also brought out its first secondary screen accessory called OPPO Bubble.

OPPO Reno 16 Pro 5G (PMK110)

OPPO’s latest Reno 16 Pro 5G smartphone has been launched in the Chinese market with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, and it is coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Android 16-based ColorOS 16 custom skin runs on the device, and OPPO has also equipped it with the Shanhai Communication Enhancement Chip and an independent Wi-Fi chip.

For its display, a 6.78″ 1.5K LTPO OLED flat screen is given, which supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 3600 nits peak brightness, 1800 nits high brightness mode, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and 1.15mm bezels. On the camera side, a 200MP main camera with OIS, ±4° image stabilisation, and a micro gimbal structure is present. It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera at the rear, while for selfies, the smartphone has a 50MP front-facing autofocus camera.

In terms of battery, the Reno 16 Pro 5G packs a 7000mAh+ battery, supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also supports 80W UFCS, 44W third-party UFCS, 55W PPS, and 13.5W PD charging. Other key specs include IP69K/IP69/IP68 dust and water resistance ratings, optical fingerprint scanner, bypass charging, shortcut key/AI button, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

Speaking of its dimensions, the smartphone measures approximately 161.31mm in height and 76.46mm in width. Its thickness is around 7.86mm for the Starry Night colour, around 7.70mm for the Moonlight Black colour, and around 7.79mm for the Dream Blue colour. The device weighs approximately 208 grams for the Heartbeat colour, 205 grams for Moonlight Black, and 207 grams for Dream Blue.

OPPO Reno 16 5G (PMM110)

The standard OPPO Reno 16 5G has also been introduced in China, and it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. LPDDR5X/LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage are also offered for the device, and it too runs on the Android 16-based ColorOS 16 custom skin. The Shanhai Communication Enhancement Chip and an independent Wi-Fi chip are also equipped within the smartphone.

Coming to its display, the Reno 16 5G features a 6.32″ 1.5K LTPS OLED flat display, and it also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 3600 nits peak brightness, 1800 nits HBM, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. For cameras, a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera are given at the rear. A 50MP front-facing autofocus camera is also there for selfies.

Regarding its battery, a 6700mAh+ battery is offered, along with 80W wired fast charging support. The charging features also include 80W UFCS, 44W third-party UFCS, 55W PPS, and 13.5W PD. IP69K/IP69/IP68 dust and water resistance ratings, optical fingerprint scanner, bypass charging, shortcut key/AI button, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC are among the other key specs.

About the dimensions, the Reno 16 5G measures approximately 151.21mm in height and 72.42mm in width. Its thickness is about 8.36mm for the Starry Night colour, 8.29mm for the Starry Purple colour, and 8.20mm for the Moonlight Black colour. The weight is mentioned as approximately 191 grams for Heartbeat, 189 grams for Starry Night Purple, and 188 grams for Moonlit Night Black.

OPPO Bubble (VBG01)

The brand’s first secondary screen accessory, called OPPO Bubble, has also been brought out. It is also referred to as the OPPO Bubble Trendy Selfie Screen and comes in a silver colour option.

Speaking more about the product, it is equipped with the BES 2800 platform and has a 1.73″ AMOLED display. The screen supports a 466 x 466 pixels resolution, 266 PPI pixel density, and brightness levels of 100 nits, 300 nits, and up to 600 nits maximum brightness. 4GB storage is also offered on the accessory.

Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi are supported for connectivity. In terms of battery, the OPPO Bubble has a lithium-ion battery with a rated capacity of 550mAh/2.09Wh and a typical capacity of 560mAh/2.128Wh. It features a USB Type-C charging port, and the charging input is rated at 5V ⎓ 0.6A.

Regarding its size and weight, the accessory weighs approximately 27.5 grams and measures 58 x 58 x 7mm. An IP54 dust and water resistance rating is also supported on the device.
