OPPO Find N5 Officially Teased to Feature a No-Crease Main Display and IPX6/IPX8/IPX9-Rated Body

The Chinese leading smartphone maker, OPPO, will be unveiling its next generation Find N-series horizontal-folding flagship this month (February 2025) in its home market and the pre-booking for the device is already live in the country. We have also come across many updates concerning this upcoming device too and now, more specs have been officially teased.

OPPO Find N5 – No-Crease Main Display and IPX6/IPX8/IPX9-Rated Body
This update has been officially shared by the OPPO Chief Product Officer (and also OnePlus Co-Founder and CEO) – Pete Lau, and as per his X posts, the OPPO Find N5 foldable flagship smartphone will be featuring a no-crease main display and an IPX6/IPX8/IPX9-rated body.
Speaking more, in the comparison image with the previous Find N3 smartphone, while the notable absence of crease can be spotted, we are also able to identify that the upcoming Find N5 would be wider and longer when compared with the predecessor. Moreover, with the IPX6/IPX8/IPX9 rating, the smartphone is also going to be ‘immensely’ durable, both in rain and during daily use.
To add, apart from these two key features, the OPPO Find N5 has also been teased to feature a thin form factor design, with an unfolded thickness of 4.2 mm and folded thickness of 9.x mm.
Furthermore, along with the 3C, CMIIT, and Geekbench listings of the Chinese variant, its global model has also been certified by the NBTC, EEC, SIRIM, SDPPI, and Camera FV 5 certification authorities. Following its Chinese debut, the Find N5 foldable is thus going to launch in the global market too. Additionally, it will also be re-branded as the next OnePlus Open 2 smartphone as well.
About its revealed/expected key specs, it includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite (7-core) chip, 6.85″± 1.5K resolution LTPO main display, super large cover display, 50MP (1/1.5) large bottom main camera, 50MP (1/2.76″) ultra-wide camera, periscope telephoto camera, 80W wired & 50W wireless fast charging, reverse charging, NFC connectivity, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In the coming days, more official teaser updates can be expected concerning the OPPO Find N5 smartphone. Also to note, the OPPO Watch X2 smartwatch is also believed to be unveiled alongside the latest flagship foldable device this month itself. Stay tuned.
