The smartphone brand Oppo officially unveiled its Oppo A5 Pro 5G smartphone last year in the Chinese market. The company will now be introducing Oppo A5 Pro in the global markets as well.
Oppo Malaysia has officially confirmed on the X platform that Oppo A5 Pro will be launching soon in Malaysia in Pink Blossom and Olive Green color options.

Just like how the Oppo A3 Pro Chinese and global variants differed in terms of design, the same will be happening with the Oppo A5 Pro. Oppo A5 Pro 5G Chinese variant arrived with a circular camera module but the global variant will feature a square camera module with round edges and the camera module houses two camera sensors with LED flash.
As per the Oppo Malaysia website, the Oppo A5 Pro will be powered by ColorOS. It will arrive with IP66/IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance while the device has also passed MIL-STD 810H military-grade shock resistance test. The smartphone will arrive with a 5800 mAh battery capacity (typical value) and Oppo AI features. Oppo may reveal the launch date and some more details about the global variant in the next few days.
Oppo A5 Pro 5G: Specifications (Chinese variant)
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip and has the Android 15 based ColorOS 15 out of the box. It is offered in 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB storage configurations (LPDDR4x RAM + UFS 3.1 storage). An added 12GB virtual RAM support is also there.
For its display, the device features an AMOLED display screen with a screen size of 6.7″, a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. 394 PPI pixel density, 1.07 billion colors, 1200 nits peak brightness, and 240Hz touch sampling rate are further display specs. Coming to the cameras, at the rear, it sports a 50MP + 2MP dual camera unit. There is also a 16MP front-facing camera too present for selfies. Regarding the battery, it packs a 6000 mAh larger battery for long-lasting battery life and supports an 80W super flash charge.
Other key specs include 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band support, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 2.0, under-display optical fingerprint scanner, face recognition, various other sensors, multiple location positioning services, 7.55/7.67 mm thickness, and 180/186 gm weight. Full Level Waterproof 2.0, industry-first resistance to harsh environments, strongest signal wall penetration, flagship level super 360° anti-fall and durable build, High Energy Outdoor Mode, and Glove Mode are also more of its notable specs.
