Motorola Edge 70 Plus, Moto Watch Ultra and Moto Snap Charger

Motorola has now introduced three new devices: the Moto Watch Ultra, Motorola Edge 70 Plus, and Moto Snap wireless charger. Out of these, we have already covered the Moto Watch Ultra, which is notably the first Motorola smartwatch to arrive with standalone LTE connectivity.

Motorola Edge 70 Plus – Specifications and Features

The Motorola Edge 70 Plus features a premium quad-curved construction that extends seamlessly from the front to the rear.

Speaking about the colour variants, the PANTONE Mountain View colour features a deep-green shade with a silk-inspired finish, whereas PANTONE Gray Lilac combines mauve and grey shades with an acetate finish. The PANTONE Milky Blue and PANTONE Sage colour options feature muted blue and green shades, respectively, along with leather-inspired finishes.

It features a 6.78″ quad-curved Extreme AMOLED Pantone Validated panel with up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Motorola Edge 70 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform and comes paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The smartphone further supports AI-powered RAM Boost and on-device AI processing. For heat dissipation, it comes equipped with a vapour-chamber cooling system.

At the rear it sports a 200MP primary camera with OIS/10x Super Zoom/4K video recording support, and is claimed to be the highest-resolution camera ever used by Motorola. Along with this there is also a 2MP macro camera.

The rear camera system also supports Pantone Validated colours and skin tones. Its Photo Enhancement Engine automatically analyses and optimises captured images.

At the front, the smartphone houses a 32MP selfie camera with support for 4K video recording, Adaptive Stabilisation, AI-powered skin-tone and facial-expression optimisation.

There is also a Group Mode in the selfie, where if the device is rotated to landscape orientation, it provides a wider field of view to accommodate more people inside the frame.

Coming to its battery, the Motorola Edge 70 Plus packs a large 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W TurboPower charging along with bypass charging.

The device meets military-grade durability standards and is claimed to offer protection against extreme temperatures, intense humidity, and high-altitude conditions. It also offers improved resistance against accidental drops.

Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is claimed to offer up to twice the scratch resistance.

There are dual large stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification and Dolby Atmos support, which is claimed to offer multidimensional sound with improved depth, clarity, and detail.

The Motorola Edge 70 Plus further comes with Google Gemini and Gemini Live. These features support text, voice, image, and camera-based queries and can assist users with generating ideas, learning about different topics, writing emails, and planning events. The device also supports Circle to Search.

The Motorola Edge 70 Plus is currently available for pre-order in the United Kingdom. Its 8GB/256GB memory configuration is priced at £529.99.

Motorola has not yet revealed its exact sale date. However, the smartphone will be rolled out across select countries and regions in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Asia-Pacific over the coming weeks.

Moto Snap Wireless Charger – Specifications and Features

Coming to the Moto Snap wireless charger, it supports Qi-compatible devices and selected Motorola smartphones. It offers up to 25W wireless charging for Qi2.2-compatible devices, though supported Motorola smartphones can receive up to 30W wireless through the company’s proprietary charging protocol.

The charger features strong magnetic alignment for precise positioning and is compatible with supported magnetic cases. Motorola claims that it has been optimised to provide efficient and cooler charging while consuming zero power on standby.

Its safety features include protection against overheating and overcharging. The accessory also comes bundled with a premium 1.5-metre braided USB Type-C cable.

The compact design makes it suitable for use on desks, bedside tables, and while travelling.

The Moto Snap wireless charger carries a starting MSRP of €39 and will be available across select countries and regions in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific over the coming weeks.
