The Chinese manufacturer Honor recently confirmed that its much-awaited Honor Robot Phone will be launching in the Chinese market on 12th August. And today, during its Imaging Technology launch event, the company officially revealed the camera details of this upcoming device.
Honor Robot Phone: Camera details revealed
Honor is partnering with ARRI, bringing professional cinema features to the Robot Phone like ARRI LogC3, ARRI Look and ARRI Cinema Mode to the phone’s camera app. Users can achieve cinematic quality with reduced compression losses with features like AWG3 Color gamut space and 102% BT.2020/ 200% Rec.709/ 110% DCI-P3.
The device features a 200MP (1/1.28”) 4DoF Gimbal main camera, a 200MP (1/1.4”) (2.7x) periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. It is equipped with Honor’s self-developed Imaging Chip H1.
The Honor Robot Phone comes with a Titanium Alloy Gimbal, industry-leading focus following algorithm (Subject identification, Motion Prediction, PTZ Control) and industry-leading motion stabilisation algorithm (multimodal perception, motion filtering, calculate compensation and 3-axis gimbal).
There are up to 6 camera movement modes: Default Stabilisation mode, super stabilisation mode, pitch lock, first person view (FPV), FPV Vertical and rotating mirror. And 3 follower modes: Follow the protagonist, Pre-composed to follow, and Double click to follow.
The company has introduced a real-time image quality algorithm on the device with Light and Shadow engine, Portrait aesthetic engine, Ultra HD image quality engine, Perceptual interaction engine and Heterogeneous acceleration engine.
It offers upgraded Cloud RAW Domain image quality with a dedicated RAW domain algorithm model, AI enhancement of telephoto details and universal cloud ISP capabilities. With the Spatial Imaging Technology matrix, you get 3D Spatial photographs, masterful camera movement videos and one-shot walkthroughs.
Image Agent 2.0 helps in:
- Before shooting: Scene recognition, parameter guidance and recommended seats
- During shooting: real-time assistance, Light and Shadow suggestions and composition process
- After shooting: Smart refinement, one-click color correction and natural language interaction
