We had recently seen the upcoming HONOR Magic9 Lite+ smartphone making its appearance on several global regulatory authority websites, and now, the brand has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming HONOR Magic9 series, but for its home market, China.
Along with confirming the launch date, HONOR has also revealed a few of the camera details and the rear design of the upcoming Magic9 and Magic9 Pro Max smartphones.

HONOR Magic9 Series – Launching on 28th September in China
According to the latest teaser shared by the brand, the HONOR Magic9 series will officially break cover in China on 28th September 2026.

Speaking of its cameras, HONOR has co-developed the imaging system with ARRI, and the Magic9 series will feature a 200MP ARRI gimbal-level main camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor and f/1.57 aperture.

Along with this, the series will also feature a 200MP ARRI ultra-night telephoto camera, which comes with a 1/1.4″ sensor and an f/2.6 aperture.
The brand is claiming clear imaging across different scenarios, including daytime, nighttime, near, and distant subjects.
Notably, the dual 200MP camera setup will be offered on the HONOR Magic9 and Magic9 Pro Max.
Speaking more, HONOR has also introduced a Photography Master Kit for the lineup, which includes a 500mm telephoto extender and a smaller 200mm thumb-sized telephoto extender. The latter measures 81mm in length and weighs 88g.
The upcoming series will also support ARRI LogC3 industrial-grade Log encoding on selected models.
As per the brand, the ARRI cinematic imaging system will offer soft highlight rendering, clean shadow details, film-inspired colour grading, and cinematic image quality.
HONOR Magic9 – Rear Design
Coming to the rear design of the standard HONOR Magic9, the smartphone’s image has been circulating on Weibo, showcasing a silver/white rear panel carrying a clean and minimalist finish.
The device features a flat frame with rounded corners and a large rounded-square camera island.

Within the camera module, a prominent ARRI-branded circular camera unit can be seen on the left, while two individual camera rings are arranged vertically on the right.
A small pill-shaped flash or sensor can also be spotted between the cameras, while the camera housing and frame carry a colour-matched finish.
HONOR Magic9 Pro Max – Rear Design
Moving to the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max, the device has been showcased in a green finish with a subtle gradient on the rear panel.
The smartphone features a flat frame with rounded corners and a large rounded-square camera island.
Inside it, an oversized ARRI-branded circular camera module can be seen, which also houses a rectangular periscope telephoto lens. Two additional circular cameras are arranged vertically alongside it, while a pill-shaped LED flash can also be spotted.
The camera housing carries a raised design with colour-matched edges.
Notably, the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max will also be compatible with a camera-style grip, along with detachable 200mm and 500mm telephoto extenders, further highlighting its photography-focused positioning.
With the launch date now officially confirmed for 28th September 2026, more details regarding the HONOR Magic9 series are expected to be revealed by the brand in the coming days.
