Following the Vivo Y6t 5G, Vivo Announces Vivo Y6 5G in China with the Same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC
Just recently, Vivo unveiled the Vivo Y6t 5G smartphone in its home market, China, and now, within a short span of time, the brand has also introduced the Vivo Y6 5G smartphone under the same Y6 series. Notably, the latest device also comes equipped with the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset as the Y6t 5G model.

Vivo Y6 5G (V2531A) – Specs and Features
Talking about the specs, the Vivo Y6 5G smartphone features a 6.75″ LCD HD+ display that supports a 1570 x 720 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach up to 1200 nits peak brightness (1000 nits in professional mode), and it also offers features like global DC dimming for flicker-free viewing, anti-fatigue brightness adjustment, AI sleep mode for colour temperature tuning, and an eye protection mode. It is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified.
Coming to its performance, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (4nm) processor, and it runs on the Android 16 based OriginOS 6 custom skin. The smartphone offers up to 12GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM along with up to 12GB virtual RAM support, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
On the camera side, a 50MP main rear camera with up to 10x zoom is featured within a squarish camera module, along with an infrared remote control, LED flash, and a breathing light. For selfies, the device is equipped with an 8MP front-facing camera that also supports up to 2x zoom.
A large 7200mAh Blue Ocean battery is also packed within the device, and it is claimed to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C. The battery also offers a long lifespan of up to 6 years with 1600 charge-discharge cycles, and features like a healthy charging algorithm, 24-hour recharge protection, and direct drive power supply for stable performance while charging. It also supports 44W wired fast charging and OTG reverse wired charging.
Other key specs of the smartphone include IP68/IP69 rating, SGS Gold Label 5-star drop and shock resistance certification, and a one-click dust and water removal feature that uses vibration to clear the speaker grille.
Vivo Y6 5G – Pricing and Availability
About its pricing and availability, the Vivo Y6 5G smartphone has been listed on Vivo’s China website and is offered in Galaxy Silver, Phoenix Gold, and Obsidian Black colour options. Three storage variants are available – 8GB/128GB, 12GB/128GB, and 12GB/256GB, and these are priced at CNY 1799, CNY 1999, and CNY 2199 respectively.
