Following the launch of Vivo Y600 Pro, Another smartphone Vivo Y500s Launched in China by Vivo

Just yesterday, Vivo had unveiled the Vivo Y600 Pro smartphone in the Chinese market, and along with it, the brand has also introduced another device called the Vivo Y500s.

Vivo Y500s (V2531A) – Officially Unveiled in China
The Vivo Y500s smartphone, being a new addition to the Vivo Y500 series in China, features a 6.75″ LCD HD+ flat display screen and it delivers up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, a 120Hz refresh rate is also supported, and the display comes with TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. Adding more to this, anti-fatigue brightness adjustment, global DC eye protection, and global flicker-free dimming are also supported.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and it runs on the OriginOS 6 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system. LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage are also coupled within the device, and it is offered with up to 24GB RAM (including up to 12GB virtual RAM via memory fusion) and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Regarding the battery specs, a 7200 mAh Blue Ocean battery backup is given on the device, and it supports a 44W wired flash charging feature along with OTG reverse charging. However, wireless charging support is missing. Notably, the device is said to deliver up to 39.1 hours of continuous calling time, and the battery has been tested to operate in extreme temperature conditions ranging from -20°C to 40°C.
On the camera side, a 50MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and up to 10x zoom is given at the rear. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.05 aperture and 2x zoom support. Also, an LED flash and aura lighting are present next to the rear camera module.
IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance, speaker water drainage and dust removal (one-tap), SGS Gold Label 5-Star Drop Resistance certification, 400% ultra-loud dual speakers, NFC, infrared remote control, Simple Mode 2.0, AI Smart Tutor features, and a 360° wall-penetrating antenna are its other added features.
Pricing and Availability
About its pricing and availability details, the device is offered in three colour choices and Chinese customers can get it in Obsidian Black, Galaxy Silver, and Phoenix Welcomes Gold colours. In terms of pricing, it comes in three storage variants – 8GB/256GB (CNY 1,799), 8GB/512GB (CNY 2,099), and 12GB/512GB (CNY 2,099), and it is currently available for purchase via the Vivo China website and other retail channels in the country.
