Lenovo Announces its Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 Tablet Models for Different Global Markets

Lenovo has now officially announced two of its latest tablet models – Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 for different global markets. The specifications and availability details of the two tablet models have also been shared.

Lenovo’s Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 Tablets Announced

The Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 tablet models from Lenovo are essentially more or less the same device with two different monikers and the only main difference is with respect to their cameras. Both these devices are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor (clocked at 2.40 GHz) and are integrated with the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. They have the Android 15 based operating system out of the box, and offer 4GB/8GB RAM (LPDDR4x RAM) and 128GB/256GB internal storage (UFS 2.2). A microSD card slot (nano SIM + microSD card) has also been given on the two tablets, with up to 2TB expandable storage support.

About their display, a 11″ IPS LCD display is featured with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC color gamut, and 10-point multi-touch support. A quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos optimization, and a single microphone hole are also part of the devices. Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and hall sensor are also given on the two, along with pen support (Tab Pen and Tab Pen Plus). Regarding the battery and charging features, both tablets pack 7040 mAh typical rechargeable Li-ion batteries with up to 14 hours of battery life, and a 20W fast charger has been offered (USB Type-C). Coming to the cameras, the Idea Tab sports an 8.0MP rear camera and a 5.0MP front camera, whereas the Tab K11 Gen 2 comes with better 13.0MP rear and 8.0MP front cameras.

Other key specs include the 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity (Tab K11 Gen 2 has eSIM support too), WiFi 5, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, location positioning services (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, A-GPS), 3.5mm headphone – microphone combo port, metal case, and IP52 dust and water resistance. The two devices measure 254.59 x 166.15 x 16.99 mm in dimension, and they weigh 480 ± 10 gm. Two color variants are available for the Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 tablets – Luna Grey and Polar Blue.

Additionally, bundled accessories such as folio case, folio keyboard, Tab Pen/Tab Pen Plus are available. The Idea Tab also gets Lenovo’s E310 TWS earbuds too as part of its bundled accessories.
