JBL Launches its Next Gen Flip 7 and Charge 6 Portable Speakers in the US, Priced at $149.95 and $199.95
Last month in February 2025, JBL introduced its Flip 7 speaker in the Chinese market, and about three weeks later, the Flip 7 along with the Charge 6 Portable speaker have been launched in the United States. As of now, the pre-orders for the two are live, and the shipping is scheduled to begin early next month in April 2025.

JBL Flip 7
The JBL Flip 7 speaker equips itself with 45 x 80 mm woofer of 25W and 16 mm tweeter of 10W, and supports Bold JBL Pro Sound with AI Sound Boost. It has a frequency response of 60 Hz ~ 20 kHz, and has a Bluetooth connectivity of version 5.4. The device is also capable of pairing with Auracast-enabled JBL speakers too, and is compatible with the JBL Portable App where controls and updates can be accessed by users, apart from the on-device controls. About its battery life, 14 to 16 hours of playtime is claimed on the device, and it can be charged from 0% to 100% in 2.5 hours.
Speaking more, dimension-wise, it measures 182.5 x 69.5 x 71.5 mm, and it weighs only 0.56 kg. Other notable specs include IP68-rated waterproof and dustproof body, lossless audio via USB type-C port, and push-lock strap along with a carabiner. To note, the device is made out of 77% recycled plastic and 100% recycled grille fabric, and thus becomes an eco-friendly product.
JBL Charge 6
JBL’s Charge 6 speaker too supports Bold JBL Pro Sound with AI Sound Boost, and features 53 x 93 mm woofer and 20 mm tweeter. The device also has a frequency response range of 56 Hz ~ 20 kHz. On the connectivity side, it supports both Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast-enabled JBL speaker-pairing as well. It is also JBL Portable App-compatible. A total battery backup of up to 24 to 28 hours can be expected, and it is capable of fully charging within 3 hours from 0% to 100%. Additionally, a fast charge feature is also supported, allowing users to receive 150 minutes of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.
The speaker measures 228.8 x 98.5 x 94.0 mm, and has a weight of 0.96/0.99 kg. Again, IP68-rated waterproof and dustproof body and lossless audio via USB type-C port are added specs. Also, a built-in powerbank and detachable handle strap are also part of this speaker.
Price and Availability
The JBL Flip 7 and JBL Charge 6 portable speakers are priced respectively at USD 149.95 and USD 199.95 in the US market, and their pre-order are currently live. Shipping will start from the 6th of April 2025, next month. Customers will also be able to purchase the two speakers in six different colors of Black, Red, Blue, Purple, White, and Camouflage.
