This device came just a year ago but the market is full of competition where you can be a pioneer but cant is only one. Google has now arrived to bring something similar to Apple Airtag that is codenamed “Grogu”.

This news has come to light through Kuba Wojciechowski Reddit account in which he wrote”Google is working on a smart tracker similar to Apple’s AirTag, codename grogu”. This device by Google is expected to operate on a distributed tracking network similar to that used by Apple. As per the reports, Google may rename it with the name of ‘Finder Network’. It may utilize Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to function.

It can also have a speaker similar to AirTag for audio-based tracking. Apple AirTag is only available in one color which suggests Google will try to do something different to stay ahead of it. It is anticipated to launch later alongside the Pixel 8 series in the fall of 2023 or in 2024.
