Foldable iPad, the first Apple Foldable device expected till 2024

While all the companies are working towards building foldable phones. Apple plans to launch the foldable iPad till 2024 joining the league. With this, it also plans to launch its own modem 5G till 2025

Apple will first use foldable technology on iPads before moving on to iPhones, claims analyst Ben Wood from CCS Insight. In an interview wood said “ folding iPhone will be super high risk for Apple”. He also added Apple expenses would be assured by removing old-generation iPhones and replacing them with foldable ones.

Currently, Apple has to depend on Qualcomm for modems for 5G connectivity. While it creates it’s own chips so it also wants to create its own 5G modem for its iPhones and iPads by 2025.

Apple has been working on making ultra-thin glass for its foldable products with LG. But there isn’t any confirmed date. As Ross Young, a Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst suggests apple won’t be able to release its foldable iPhones before 2025.
