Last month, around the 20th of May, Sony had announced a new Sand Stone colour variant for its WH-1000XM6 headphones for the global markets. Now, this new colour variant has also been introduced in the Indian market as well. Since this is only a new colour variant, the specifications and features of the headphones remain the same.

Sony WH-1000XM6 Sand Stone Colour Variant – Now Available in India
As per the details shared by the brand, the new Sand Stone colour variant of the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones is now available for purchase in India via both Amazon India and Sony India’s official website. About the pricing, it remains the same as the other colour variants, and customers will be able to purchase it at INR 39,990 on both platforms.
Speaking of the colour options, with the addition of the new Sand Stone colour variant, the total number of colour choices now comes to five. Customers can purchase the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones in Black, Platinum Silver, Midnight Blue, Sand Pink, and Sand Stone colour options.
Sony WH-1000XM6 – Specs and Features
The Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones feature the brand’s advanced noise cancellation technology, powered by the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3. As pointed out, this processor is 7x faster than the QN1 processor used in the WH-1000XM5 headphones, and it optimises 12 microphones in real time for better noise cancellation, sound quality, and call clarity.
Speaking more, the headphones have been co-created with mastering audio engineers, and Sony has equipped them with a specially designed driver featuring a lightweight carbon fibre dome.
For calls, the WH-1000XM6 headphones come with a six-microphone AI-based beamforming system, along with intelligent noise reduction technology and a wind-resistant design.
Coming to the design, Sony has given the headphones a foldable body with precision metalwork, along with a compact carrying case that has a magnetic closure. The headphones also feature a wider asymmetrical headband with smooth synthetic leather, while the stepless slider and seamless swivel are added for better comfort and adjustment during longer use.
Regarding the battery specs, the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are claimed to offer up to 30 hours of battery life. A quick charge of 3 minutes is also said to offer up to 3 hours of playback with an optional USB-PD compatible AC adapter.
Other key features include Adaptive NC Optimizer, Auto Ambient Sound Mode, support High-Resolution Audio and LDAC.
