Last year, Amazon introduced its all new Kindle Paperwhite (6th generation) in various global markets but there was no news on the Indian launch of this device. Well Amazon has yesterday officially launched this Kindle Paperwhite in India.

The new Kindle Paperwhite features a 7 inch waterproof display and narrower borders. Its advanced display technology uses an oxide thin-film transistor that elevates the reading experience with sharper texts and images that pop off the screen. Its 300 ppi glare free display reads like paper, even in bright light. With adjustable warm light and dark mode, readers can customize the display to their preference and comfortably enjoy reading their books.
The device arrives with a powerful dual core processor that offers smooth and fast performance with 25% faster page turns on the device. It also features improved keyword touch response, USB-C port while customers can enjoy up to 12 weeks of battery life. It comes with 16GB storage capacity.
It is packed with features like X-Ray (provides important details about people or places mentioned in a book), built-in dictionary (to quickly look up any words and translations), and World Wise (provides short, simple definitions that automatically appear above difficult words).
The setup process on the Kindle app has been simplified for iOS and Android, offering an option to register the device in fewer steps. To keep the readers away from distractions, Kindle does not include e-mails, texts, and social media.
Customers can explore Amazons vast selection of over 1.5 crore titles worldwide across genres. They can also enjoy eBooks in languages such as Hindi, Tamil and Marathi, among others.
