When India did a surgical strike in Pakistan, it was aimed at eliminating Terrorist outfits. The Surgical strike was made possible by both the Indian airforce and the Indian army. The reason why NATO cannot d.o this type of strike is that it would mean an act of war.
Then the question comes in Why was India’s Surgical strike wasn’t an act of war?
When India did the surgical strike, it was mentioned in the press brief that it was to eliminate the terrorist outfit in Pakistan. And it was also said that India has no more plans to conduct the airstrikes again.
Now if NATO enters the airspace, it will be considered as an act of war against Russia. And Russia will come back with whatever it has under its sleeves and be it a Nuclear option also.
So EU countries like Germany have already stated that they are not ready for a war. And many EU countries do not want a war with Russia at this time. Because countries have just started to recover from COVID-
