Russian court to fine Google and Wikipedia over posting of “Fake Contents”

According to the Interfax news agency, a Russian court has threatened Google and Wikimedia Foundation, which owns Wikipedia, with fines for failing to remove “false” content concerning the Ukraine crisis.

On Thursday, Russia’s communications authority announced that Google would face sanctions for failing to remove unlawful content from YouTube’s video-sharing platform.
