TATA IPL mega auction 2022 starts at 11 a.m. on 12th February and will continue on 13th February. IPL 2022 is the 15 edition of Indian Premier League. Earlier, there were 8 teams competing for the IPL trophy. Now, there are 10 teams competing. The teams are Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2022 auction is streaming live on Star Sports and Hotstar.
Thus, other than the retained players of the teams, there are players in auction open for bidding.
Shikhar Dhawan becomes the first player in the queue of bidding.
Delhi Capitals started bidding for 2.60 crores. Followed by Rajasthan Royals for 2.80 crores. DC bids again for 5 crores. Thus, finally Shikhar Dhawan is sold to Punjab Kings 8.25 crores.
