Jonny Baristow is sold to Punjab Kings for 6 crore 75 lakhs, in TATA IPL mega auction 2022. there was a tough war between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, but at last Sunrisers Hyderabad were not able to get their player and had to lose him to Punjab kings.
Since the 2019 IPL season, England’s Jonny Bairstow has played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
As a batsman, he produced the most in 2019, scoring 445 runs from 10 matches at a strike rate of 157.24. In 2020, he scored 345 runs from 11 matches with a strike rate of 126.83.
Bairstow did play the India leg of the disrupted IPL 2021 season, but chose to sit out the UAE phase.
During the India leg of the tournament last year, he scored 248 runs from seven matches.
