IPL franchises and BCCI have begun preparing for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The apex board recently released a list of 1214 players who have registered for the auction and announced that it hopes India will host the event.

KKR has released their skipper Eoin Morgan and will have a new captain from IPL 2022.
Morgan helped KKR overcome a below-par performance in the tournament and make it to the final for the first time in 7 years. In the final, they lost to the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. KKR have the option to buy him back at the auction for IPL 2022.
