Air India Express flight just crashed a few hours ago and was coming in from Dubai to Kerala. This Kozhikode airport is considered a tabletop runway and due to climate conditions as it was raining heavily that may have played a role in this.
Prime Miniter Modi came forward and tweeted about how he is feeling about the incident. He said “Pained by the plane accident in Kozhikode. My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest. Spoke to Kerala CM @vijayanpinarayi Ji regarding the situation. Authorities are at the spot, providing all assistance to the affected.”

The plane was broken into two parts as it exceeded the runway. Also, Rajiv Pratap Rudy who is a BJP minister from Bihar also said that he was amazed by how the plane slipped into two parts.
So far 11 people have died in this incident.
