In a recent turn of events, Hindustan Unilever came in with a surprise by stating that they will remove Fair from its famous Fair & Lovely cream.
In its tweet Hindustan Unilever stated that “We’re committed to a skin care portfolio that’s inclusive of all skin tones, celebrating the diversity of beauty. That’s why we’re removing the words ‘fairness’, ‘whitening’ & ‘lightening’ from products, and changing the Fair & Lovely brand name.”
Company’s from around the world is facing backlash after the recent death of George Floyd which started the debate for racial discrimination around the globe.
