Many Indian social media users are criticizing the merchandising of some products on Amazon that is for violation of the National Flag Code.
Amidst this ire of Indian social media users, now Madhya Pradesh Government’s Home Minister Narottam Mishra directed the Director-General of Police(DGP) to register FIR against officials of the world’s biggest e-commerce company ‘Amazon’ and its owner for violation of Nation Flag Code. The FIR is against Amazon as they are allegedly selling products- like apparel and food items that feature images of the Indian Nationa Flag. as per sources 25 January 2022.
Home Minister Dr. Mishra stated that- It was seen by him that Amazon is selling merchandized products featuring Indian National Flag on them, which becomes intolerable when it has been used on shoes.- as per sources.
He added that he had also directed DGP to file an FIR against Amazon’s officials.
This is not the very first time that Dr. Mishra has ordered the filing of a case against an e-commerce giant but earlier also in last November 2021, he made the direction for FIR over suicide of youth from the same state who allegedly purchased poison(sulphus) tablets that are used in agriculture through it- as reported.
