According to sources acquainted with the situation, the American transportation giant Uber and the Indian taxi aggregator Ola are in talks about a combination. Top Uber officials recently met with Ola Chief Executive Bhavish Aggarwal in San Francisco, according to an ET story.
The two businesses have spent billions on passenger perks and discounts as they battle it out in India’s fiercely competitive sector. They have also lately introduced fresh services, such food and shopping delivery.
