Xiaomi’s first SUV- Xiaomi YU7 launched officially in China: Check out the details

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has yesterday unveiled various new gadgets in the Chinese market which include the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, Xiaomi Watch S4 eSIM and a few other home appliances. Along with these products, the company has also unveiled its first SUV in the country- Xiaomi YU7.
Xiaomi YU7: Features
The company describes this model as a mid-to-large SUV that integrates intelligent technology, spacious interiors, and enhanced performance. The name YU7 is derived from the Chinese term symbolizing riding the wind.
The exterior design includes- a revised headlight system with integrated air channels, a reworked taillight structure, a new electric-flush door handle system, a drag coefficient of Cd 0.245, 10 air channels, 19 optimized vents and ultra-led lighting for better visibility on the rear side. It measures 4999 x 1996 x 1600 mm and comes with a 3000 mm wheelbase. The SUV features a 3.11 m2 clamshell aluminum hood and a 141 L electric front trunk. It also sports 275 mm wide rear tyres.
On the inside, Xiaomi introduces a dual-zone surround luxury cabin that combines advanced technology, comfort, and space efficiency. It includes Xiaomi HyperVision Panoramic Display, which uses mini LED technology. The display offers 108 PPD resolution and a peak brightness of 1200 nits, There are dual zero-gravity front seats, power-adjustable rear seating, panoramic sunroof, Brembo four-piston calipers, Nappa leather and a rock grain texture.
Storage capacity totals 1,970 litres, while there is a foldable rear cargo area capable of holding multiple 24-inch suitcases.
Coming to the performance, the SUV is powered by Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus which is capable of producing up to 690PS and 528 nm of torque. The dual motor four-wheel driver system lets the SUV accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h in 3.23 seconds, with a top speed of 253 km/ h. The cockpit runs on a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip for fast boot and app launching.
There will be three variants- Standard (835km), Pro (770km) and Max (760km). The Standard version boasts a range of 835 km (CLTC) on a 96.3 kWh battery, Pro and Max variants offer 760 km and 770 km ranges with the Max version using a 101.7 kWh battery. The 800V silicon carbide platform allows rapid charging up to 620 km in 15 minutes. It is equipped with NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX Thor chip, capable of 700 TOPS computing power.
Safety features include LiDAR, 40 mm-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 7 anti-glare cameras. Connectivity features- dual 5G, WiFi 7, UWB keys, dual WiFi hotspot, and three Bluetooth modules.
Availability
The official sale of Xiaomi YU7 will start from July onwards. You can purchase 1:18 scale alloy models of the YU7 in either Emerald Green or Titanium Silver with prices starting from 599 Yuan. Xiaomi YU7 comes in Emerald Green, Titanium Silver and Lava Orange colors.
