Who wins the battle in music subscriber market share Q2 2021 ?

Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tencent, and other music streaming services are in this battle.

The pie chart above depicts the market share of the world’s largest music streaming services.

The dominating of this is Spotify which is the largest music streaming service in the world in quarter 2 of 2021, having a market share of 31 percent. At the second position, Apple music is holding a share of 15 percent. The third-largest worldwide is Amazon Music with 13 percent of the market share.

In the same market share race, there is Tencent Music with 13 percent, Youtube Music with 8 percent, NetEase, Deezer, Yandex are below.

The research has been carried out from ‘Midia Research’, which is a media and entertainment-based research agency. MIDiA’s annual music subscriber market share report has been recently out.

Worldwide music subscribers continue to grow highly with 523.9 million music subscribers at the end of quarter 2 of 2021, which was up by 109.5 million (26.4%) from one year earlier, 2020.

As per Midia claim, the total music streaming in quarter 2 of 2021 was 523.9 million, so accordingly Spotify had over 162.4 million subscribers who are paying for their music service.
