Several Airtel users have reported being unable to make or receive calls on their mobile phones. While most broadband users remain unaffected, some have shared screenshots on X showing an SMS from Airtel acknowledging a technical glitch. The message states that the broadband issue for affected users in the Delhi-NCR region will be resolved by 12 AM IST on August 19.

According to Downdetector, the outage began around 2:53 PM IST. By 4:53 PM, approximately 1,200 users had reported issues. So far, the majority of complaints have come from Delhi-NCR, though at least one user from Mumbai has also reported being affected.
For broadband users in Delhi-NCR, Airtel has communicated that the issue is expected to be fixed by midnight, though it is likely to be resolved earlier. However, mobile users have not yet received any official update from the company.
