As stated above, this is not the first time that the device has appeared on a certification platform. Through IMEI databases, the HyperOS codebase, FCC and NCC listings, several of its key specifications have already been revealed. The IMEI database had revealed the model number and the marketing name of the device, while the HyperOS codebase listing pointed out key camera-related specifications. As per it, the smartphone is expected to feature a similar camera setup as its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T Pro, which may include a 50MP OVX9100 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens, and a 12MP OV13B ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, a 32MP front-facing camera is also expected.

In terms of performance, the same HyperOS codebase listing has suggested that the device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The FCC certification had revealed connectivity features such as WCDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G NR, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth (BR + EDR + LE), NFC, and GNSS (GPS). It also pointed out three storage options of 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB, and confirmed that the device will run on HyperOS 3 based on the Android 16 operating system. Additionally, the NCC certification has revealed that the smartphone may support 100W wired fast charging along with Qi wireless charging technology.

Regarding the launch, earlier reports had suggested a February debut, however, that timeline has already passed, and with April also nearing its end, the global launch is now expected to take place in May. For the Indian market, only the Xiaomi 17T model is expected to arrive, similar to its predecessor, and it has already been spotted on the BIS certification platform as well.
