A new battery from Vivo has now been spotted on the TUV Rheinland certification platform. Via this listing, its battery capacity and other details have also been revealed, suggesting that the brand could be preparing to introduce a new device with an 8,000mAh battery.

New Vivo Battery (BC17) – TUV Rheinland Certification
On the TUV Rheinland certification platform, the Vivo battery which carries the model number of ‘BC17’ has been listed, and it has received a valid CB Test Certificate with the certificate number of ‘JPTUV-191749’. This Vivo battery has been categorized as a ‘rechargeable Li-ion battery’, and it is manufactured by Vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd.

The battery is pointed out to have a rated capacity of 7,800mAh and a typical capacity of 8,000mAh. It has a rated voltage of 3.77V, while its rated and typical energy values are listed as 29.41Wh and 30.16Wh, respectively. Two country codes of ‘KR’ and ‘SA’ are also given on the certification platform, suggesting its availability in South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
The certificate was issued on August 19, 2026, by TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd. The assessment was conducted by the Global Technology Assessment Center (GTAC), which is located in Yokohama, Japan.
It is currently not sure which of Vivo’s upcoming devices will be using this 8,000mAh battery. However, with the battery details now surfacing online, more updates regarding the associated device can be expected in the coming days.
