We recently covered the news where we spotted the upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G alongside the recently launched Vivo S2 on the Google Play Console Supported Devices list, which revealed that both devices share the same device codename and hinted that the V80 Lite 5G could arrive as a rebranded version of the Vivo S2 in select markets. Now, adding one more certification to the list, the upcoming device has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification database.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G Spotted on IMDA Certification Database
On the IMDA certification database, the Vivo device carrying the model number “V2626” has now been listed under the Mobile Terminals category. The listing describes it as a “5G Mobile Phone with WLAN and Bluetooth and NFC”, thereby revealing some of its connectivity features.
This time, however, the certification listing does not reveal the marketing name of the device. But from its previous appearance on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification database, the V2626 model number has already been associated with the upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G.
Interestingly, the model number spotted today on IMDA has not yet appeared on the Google Play Console Supported Devices list. On the latter platform, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G was spotted with the model numbers “V2643” and “V2644”, while both of these entries use “V2576” as their device codename. The same V2576 codename and model number are associated with the recently launched Vivo S2, which strongly hints that the two smartphones could be related or that the V80 Lite 5G could arrive as a rebranded Vivo S2 in select markets.
However, there is another interesting detail to note. The V2626 model was previously spotted on Geekbench with the MediaTek MT6858 chipset. 91mobiles pointed out that while MT6858 is associated with the Dimensity 7100 family, the CPU configuration and clock speeds seen on the listing suggest that the device could instead be powered by the Dimensity 7300e. However, the Dimensity 7360 also features a similar CPU configuration and clock speeds, thereby hinting that the V2626 model could instead come equipped with the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, the same one that powers the Vivo S2.
Apart from this, the TUV certification of the V2626 model had revealed support for up to 44W fast charging. This particular charging specification also matches the Vivo S2, which is officially equipped with 44W fast charging support and a 7,050mAh battery.
All these similarities further hint that the upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G could arrive as a rebranded version of the Vivo S2 in select markets, though it would be better to wait for more certifications or an official announcement to know for sure.
