It seems that the Vivo Y500i smartphone, which was introduced in China in January 2026, could soon receive its successor. An upcoming Vivo Y600i smartphone has now appeared on the Google Play-supported devices list, revealing its model number and device code. Interestingly, an AI Edition of the smartphone has also been listed with the same identifiers.

Vivo Y600i and Vivo Y600i AI Edition – Google Play-Supported Devices List
On the Google Play-supported devices list, an upcoming Vivo smartphone carrying the model number ‘V2617A’ has been listed with the marketing name ‘Vivo Y600i’. Its device/model code has been mentioned as ‘PD2617’.
Interestingly, another entry carrying the ‘Vivo Y600i AI Edition’ moniker has also been spotted on the same database. This device carries the same ‘V2617A’ model number and ‘PD2617’ device code as the standard Vivo Y600i.
Since both listings carry the same model number and device code, the Vivo Y600i AI Edition may not be an entirely different hardware model. Instead, it could offer the same underlying hardware as the standard Vivo Y600i while including certain additional AI-powered features or software capabilities.
However, the Google Play-supported devices list does not reveal the hardware specifications or differences between the Vivo Y600i and Vivo Y600i AI Edition. Therefore, it is best to wait for further certifications or an official announcement to learn how the two versions will differ.
Looking into a previous update, the Vivo Y500i was introduced in China in January 2026 with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 6.75″ 120Hz LCD display, 7,200mAh battery and 44W wired fast charging. The appearance of the Vivo Y600i moniker suggests that the upcoming device could arrive as its successor.
This is also the first time that we have come across the Vivo Y600i on a public database. While its ‘V2617A’ model number suggests that it could be intended for the Chinese market, its launch timeline has not yet been revealed.
It is also not sure when Vivo will officially introduce the Vivo Y600i and whether the AI Edition will be launched alongside the standard model.
