Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Wide9 Appears on Google Play Console Supported Devices List; Could Be a Rebranded Samsung Galaxy M17 5G
The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G smartphone that was released back in October 2025 now seems to have a new rebranded version called the Samsung Galaxy Wide9, which could launch soon as it has now appeared on the Google Play Console supported devices list.
Here is what has been revealed.
Samsung Galaxy Wide9 – Google Play Console Supported Devices Listing
On the latest listing, the upcoming smartphone has appeared carrying the model number “SM-M176S”, while under the device code section, it is listed as “A17x”. While the model number points towards the previously-launched Galaxy M17 5G smartphone, the device code appears to point towards the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G device, of which the Galaxy M17 5G itself is also believed to be a rebranded version. This would further suggest that the Galaxy Wide9 smartphone could feature a similar specifications sheet as that of the already-available Galaxy M17 5G device.

Previously as well, Samsung had introduced the Samsung Galaxy Wide8 smartphone in the South Korean market, which was essentially a rebranded version of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and Samsung Galaxy M16 5G devices. Similar to that, the upcoming Galaxy Wide9 smartphone is also expected to remain exclusive to the South Korean market.
Regarding the launch timeline, since the smartphone has now appeared on the Google Play Console supported devices list, its official launch in the South Korean market could likely take place soon.
