Samsung’s Galaxy XCover 8 Pro Receives TUV Rheinland Certification; Also Spotted on Geekbench
One among Samsung’s upcoming rugged smartphones – Galaxy XCover 8 Pro has now received the TUV Rheinland certification. Furthermore, the device has also made its appearance on the Geekbench database too, which has revealed few of its performance specs.

The Galaxy XCover 8 Pro smartphone from Samsung has been certified by the TUV Rheinland certification authority with the certificate number – ‘JPTUV-170960’, and four models of the device has been listed on the certification database – ‘SM-G766B’, ‘SM-G766U’, ‘SM-G766U1’, and ‘SM-G766W’. To note, these are revealed to be the global variant (SM-G766B), carrier-locked US variant (SM-G766U), carrier-unlocked US variant(SM-G766U1), and the Canadian variant (SM-G766W).
Coming to its Geekbench listing, it is the carrier-unlocked US variant of the smartphone with the model number – ‘SM-G766U1’ that has appeared on the Geekbench database. The single-core, multi-core, and OpenCL scores of the device are respectively 1157 points, 3288 points, and 3334 points.
As per the details revealed via the Geekbench database, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, integrated with the Adreno 810 GPU, and run on the Android 15 (based One UI 7 custom skin) out of the box. To add, the Geekbench-listed device is its 6GB RAM variant.
Speaking more, the other upcoming rugged version smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, is also said to come with this same processor (Snapdragon 7s Gen 3). Furthermore, the upcoming Galaxy XCover 8 Pro is believed to be 50% faster in terms of single-core performance and 18% faster in terms of multi-core performance when compared with the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro model.
Apart from these above mentioned details, there isn’t anything in particular known about the Galaxy XCover 8 Pro smartphone, including its display, camera, or connectivity features. Probably with more future updates, we may get to know more about this device.
