Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra – 5K CAD-Based Renders Leaked

This latest information comes from reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks, who, in collaboration with the publication Smartphone Checker, has shared the 5K CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. The tablet has been shown in a Grey finish in the renders, although CAD-based images may not accurately represent its final colour and surface finish.

Looking at its design, the upcoming tablet appears almost identical to the current Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The device retains the same shallow notch in the middle of the display for housing a single front-facing camera and at the rear two camera sensors have been positioned vertically, along with an LED flash. The magnetic S Pen charging strip and three-pin pogo connector for keyboard accessories can also be seen.

Speaking more, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is revealed to measure 326.34 × 208.46 × 5.12mm, which rounds off to 326.3 × 208.5 × 5.1mm. Notably, these are exactly the same dimensions that Samsung officially mentions for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, suggesting that the overall size and thickness of the upcoming tablet will remain unchanged.

Similar to Tab S11 Ultra, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is also expected to feature the same 14.6″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the upcoming tablet is tipped to use MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset, replacing the Dimensity 9400+ processor offered with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

If rumors are to be true, then the Tab S12 Ultra will likley retain the same 11,600mAh battery capacity and 45W wired fast charging support as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

On the software side, the device is expected to run on Android 17-based One UI 9.0 out of the box. Other tipped features include quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, an IP68-rated body, and an S Pen included inside the retail box.

Also to add, the expected Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra model numbers are ‘SM-X940’ and ‘SM-X946B’, believed to belong to its Wi-Fi-only and 5G variants, respectively. Both model numbers have reportedly appeared on India’s BIS certification database. The Galaxy Tab S12+ models carrying the ‘SM-X840’ and ‘SM-X846B’ model numbers have also been spotted on the certification platform.
