Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Appears on Wireless Power Consortium Database, May Lack Built-In Magnets

Samsung’s next Galaxy S26 FE smartphone has already been a part of a few reports and following all these, this upcoming device has now made its appearance on the WPC or Wireless Power Consortium certification platform. Via the certification listing, its charging details and live image have also been revealed.

Here’s more about the update.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE – WPC Database

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 FE smartphone carrying the model number of ‘SM-S741*’ has been listed on the WPC database, and along with it, the listing also confirms its moniker as Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. This further confirms the existence of the upcoming Fan Edition model from the brand.

As per the certification listing, the device has been certified with the Qi ID of ‘27292’ and has received approval for the Qi 2.2.1 wireless charging standard. Similar to what was seen on the earlier launched Galaxy S26 series this year, the Galaxy S26 FE is also listed with the Base Power Profile (BPP), which carries a baseline maximum load power of 5W instead of the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP). This means that the phone may not have built-in magnets, and as a result, Qi2 magnetic chargers, power banks, and wallets may not attach directly to the device. Users will likely have to use a magnetic protective case to enable proper alignment and attachment.

About its revealed live image, both the rear and front sides of the device appear to feature a flat body shape, and it has been shown in a Black colour option. Speaking more about the design, the device can be seen with three circular camera cutouts placed inside a vertical pill-shaped camera module similar to the Galaxy S26 itself. Also to note, as rightly pointed out by the folks at 9To5Google, the position of the camera module appears to be slightly off, as the top-most part of the module seems to be very close to the top edge.

Looking into a few other previous reports, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 FE device’s prototype was earlier spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing a few of its key details. These include the Exynos 2500 processor, Android 16 operating system, and 8GB of RAM. In terms of its launch timeline, a few reports have hinted that just like its predecessor Galaxy S25 FE, the Galaxy S26 FE may also break cover in September or October of this year.

Stay tuned for more updates.
