Samsung Galaxy A18 LTE variant listed on Samsung’s test server in Europe

Last year, Samsung introduced its Galaxy A17 4G and 5G variants, and it appears that this year the company will introduce the successor of this device- Galaxy A18.

In April, Galaxy A18 (dual-SIM 4G variant) was spotted on the GSMA database with the model number SM-A185F, and now the Galaxy A18 has made its appearance on the Samsung test server as well.

Galaxy A18: Spotted on Samsung’s test server in Europe

The Galaxy A18 recently made its appearance on Samsung’s internal test servers in Europe with model number SM-A185F. This is said to be the LTE variant. It was spotted with firmware that carries build numbers A185FXXU0AZF2/ A185FOXM0AZF2/ A185FXXU0AZF2.

It is pointed out that Samsung is using the SHA256 hash instead of the older MD5 format for this firmware. The SHA256 hash type indicates that the device is using One UI 9 or higher versions. This hints that Galaxy A18 may debut with Android-17-based One UI 9.

In the coming days, we may come across some more details related to the upcoming Galaxy A18 smartphone. It is expected that, just like Galaxy A17, Galaxy A18 may also get both 5G  and 4G variants.
