OPPO Watch 5 Moniker Confirmed Through UAE’s TDRA Certification; Earlier Listing Revealed 4W Charging Support

OPPO Watch 5 Moniker Confirmed Through UAE’s TDRA Certification; Earlier Listing Revealed 4W Charging Support

Towards the end of July 2026, we spotted a mysterious OPPO-branded smartwatch on the Elements certification database. At that time, the certification did not reveal its marketing name. Now, the same smartwatch has appeared on the UAE’s TDRA certification platform, finally confirming its moniker as the OPPO Watch 5.

Read more about the upcoming smartwatch below.

OPPO Watch 5 – TDRA Certification

On the UAE’s TDRA certification platform, an OPPO smartwatch which carries the model number ‘OWWE266’ has been listed with the marketing name ‘OPPO Watch 5’. The device has been categorized as a short-range/low-power device.

Speaking more, the OPPO Watch 5 has received the equipment registration number ‘ER64075/26’. Its application and equipment-registration statuses are both listed as active.

The certification was issued on the 26th of August 2026 and will remain valid until the 25th of August 2029.

While the TDRA certification falls short of revealing any specifications of the OPPO Watch 5, the same ‘OWWE266’ model number had previously appeared on the Elements certification database. The earlier listing revealed that the upcoming smartwatch would support 4W charging.

Furthermore, the Elements certification mentioned EU A-Deviations, EU Group Differences, EU Special National Conditions and ‘SA’ under its National Differences section, suggesting that the smartwatch could be intended for multiple global markets.

Looking into OPPO’s previous smartwatch lineup, the company did not introduce a standard OPPO Watch 4. Instead, the lineup included the OPPO Watch 4 Pro and the more affordable OPPO Watch SE, both in China. Therefore, the newly listed OPPO Watch 5 could be viewed as the direct successor to the standard OPPO Watch 3.

One thing worth noting here is that the 4W charging support revealed through the Elements certification appears to be slightly lower than the 5W charging rating associated with the OPPO Watch 3. The OPPO Watch SE also carries a 5W charging rating. Therefore, at least on paper, the upcoming smartwatch’s listed charging power appears to be a downgrade. However, its actual charging time and battery capacity have not yet been revealed.

Another interesting detail is that neither the OPPO Watch 2 nor the OPPO Watch 3 was officially introduced outside China. Since the OPPO Watch 5 has now appeared on the UAE’s TDRA database, while its previous Elements certification also mentioned requirements associated with global markets, OPPO could finally be preparing to launch its standard numbered smartwatch globally.

So far, we have only come across certification listings associated with the global variant of the OPPO Watch 5, while a corresponding Chinese listing has not yet been spotted.
