OPPO Reno 16 Series Global Models Receive EU Declaration of Conformity and EPREL Certifications; Listed With Up to 6,325 mAh Battery, IP68 Rating, and 5 Years of Updates

OPPO’s upcoming Reno 16 series smartphones for the global markets are finally shaping up, as devices from the series have now started appearing on several global regulatory platforms. While an official global launch announcement is still awaited, the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro smartphones have now received Declaration of Conformity certification, along with their EPREL listings. Adding to this, the Reno 16 F 5G has also been spotted on the EPREL database, revealing key battery, durability, and repairability-related details.

OPPO Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro – EU Declaration of Conformity

As per what has been revealed via the EU Declaration of Conformity listings, two OPPO smartphones carrying the model numbers CPH2863 and CPH2865 have been listed. While the monikers have not been directly mentioned on the certification platform, previous certifications have already revealed that the former belongs to the Reno 16 Pro 5G, whereas the latter is the Reno 16 5G.

Coming to what has been revealed, both smartphones are listed to run on ColorOS 16 operating system, which, by the way, has already been revealed via earlier database listings as well. Speaking more, the devices have also been listed with the VCB80AEH adapter, BLPE37 battery, and DL129 USB cable.

Moving on to the EPREL certification, the Reno 16 5G, Reno 16 F 5G, and Reno 16 Pro 5G have been listed on the database with the model numbers CPH2865, CPH2859, and CPH2863 respectively.

OPPO Reno 16 Series – EPREL Certification

As per what has been revealed via the EPREL database, all three listed OPPO smartphones have received an energy efficiency rating of ‘A’ and are categorised as non-foldable smartphones running on the Android operating system. The Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G are listed with a 5,820 mAh rated battery, while the Reno 16 F 5G has been listed with a larger 6,325 mAh rated battery.

Speaking more about the battery endurance details, the Reno 16 5G is listed to offer 63 hours and 09 minutes of battery life per cycle, whereas the Reno 16 Pro 5G is listed with 62 hours of battery life per cycle. On the other hand, the Reno 16 F 5G offers the highest battery endurance among the three, with 75 hours of battery life per cycle. In terms of battery cycles, the Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G are listed with up to 1,200 cycles, while the Reno 16 F 5G is listed with up to 1,800 cycles under default settings.

Regarding a few other revealed details, all three smartphones will not be shipped with a protective cover. In the repeated free-fall reliability test, the devices have withstood 270 falls without defect, thereby receiving an ‘A class’ rating. In terms of durability, all three models are listed with an IP68-rated protection, supporting water immersion of up to 1.5 meters.

Furthermore, the Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G have received a screen scratch resistance level of 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, while the Reno 16 F 5G has received a slightly better level 5 rating. All three devices are also listed with USB-C receptacle type and a required output power of 10W.

Lastly, under the repairability index, the Reno 16 5G has scored 3.52 out of 5, the Reno 16 F 5G has scored 3.82 out of 5, and the Reno 16 Pro 5G has scored 3.87 out of 5, with all three receiving an ‘A’ repairability class rating. The listings also reveal that the smartphones will support a minimum of five years of operating system, security, and functionality updates.
