Oppo K12 Plus tipped to launch early in October with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, Real Life Image also leaked

Looks like the Oppo K12 series in China is finally getting a new smartphone called the Oppo K12 Plus. Yesterday, Digital Chat Station (DCS) confirmed some of its specifications. Now, we have information about the launch timeline and the looks of this smartphone, also courtesy of DCS.

According to DCS, the device will launch in early October, before the flagship launches are set to dominate. DCS has also confirmed that it will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. In our earlier report, we mentioned a smartphone with model number “PKS110” spotted on the Geekbench database showing Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Given this new information, it is safe to say that the Geekbench listing was indeed that of the Oppo K12 Plus. Also, the Geekbench listing revealed a 12GB RAM variant will also be there.

Furthermore, DCS stated that the device will come with a larger 6,400 mAh battery, a flat screen, and will follow the same design language as the Oppo K12. DCS has also shared real-life images that confirm the same design as the Oppo K12.

However, only the rear is visible in the images shared by DCS, which reveals that it may come in a blue colour option as well. While the design similarity is expected, Oppo will launch it with the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 as the Oppo K12. The main change appears to be the battery size, which has increased from 5,500 mAh to 6,400 mAh according to DCS. The ‘Plus’ in the name likely refers to this increased battery capacity.

Earlier, DCS had mentioned a white colour option, and now these live images show a blue colour. So we now have two potential colour options for the launch. Regarding the price point, it remains to be seen how Oppo will position this smartphone in its home country. Just as the Oppo K12 series was launched globally as the OnePlus Nord CE 4 series, this K12 Plus may also see a global launch. However, at this point, that is mere speculation.
